How to start split-screen mode

1st Step: Go to the main menu
2nd Step: Make sure your second controller (the one you want to play tag with) is connected to the console you want to play on and turned on.
3rd Step: Once connected, the second player should be asked to select their account.
4th Step: After signing into their account, the second player will now appear in the Fortnite lobby.
5th Step: Hey, now you’re able to hop into games together and fight toward a Victory Royale. However, there are a few important restrictions to be aware of.
Tips for playing in split-screen
Although you may enjoy the idea of jumping into some couch co-op, you’ll want to be aware of the downsides. The biggest and most obvious problem is that it will cut your screen size in half.
This makes teamwork and communication paramount, as one player will rely heavily on the input from their partner so they know what they’re seeing.
Now that the split-screen option can only be used in horizontal orientations, players have no way to change it back to a vertical view.
